Passwords are a pain and while many organizations require then, they have very simple , even lax rules for implementing a password strategy. Besides requiring your user s to use passwords, there are two other things you should require of them- password ageing - strong password, password aging is essential to minimize the chances of someone else discovering and using a password that may be shared, for example to help co-worker access the corporate network. a strong password (requiring a mix of letters, numbers and characters) minimizes the chance of someone obtaining a password through a social enineering exercise.Another technique is to make a case sensitive password and use space (if allowed) and a mix of symbols like star or hash etc.
